Life is Just a Bowl Of

With warm weather comes lots of great things; the constant wearing of dresses and sandals, getting tan and freckly, baseball season, outdoor drinking etc. And of course on of my favorite things is all of that delectable summer produce. I have a small obsession with cherries. I think I ate two pounds of them by myself over the weekend. For reals. And I’ll happily sit and eat a huge bag of them for dinner. I love the idea of using cherries in savory recipes. The only problem I foresee is that I’ll end up eating them before I can actually incorporate them into a recipe. But, I’m willing to give it a shot.

Ooh! I’m going to make that cherry salsa for my next food swap. I bet with a few simple updates it would be perfect for hot water bath canning! Thanks for the recipes.

I don’t know why, but I grew up wanting nothing to do with cherries. The good news is that’s changed and I can’t get enough of them now, especially when they’re in season and locally grown. I’ll have to try one of these recipes.
