Make Mine a Mojito

I’m what you might call a booze enthusiast. Me and booze, we’re pals. And I don’t discriminate. I love wine and beer and cocktails all equally. But certain occasions and seasons call for certain types of drink. And this past weekend I may have indulged in a few mojitos while celebrating the last few weeks of my (little!) sister’s bachelorette-hood. And let’s just pause and talk about the mojito for a moment. It really is a perfect cocktail. Especially when the weather starts warming up which happens to be right about now. Oh how convenient. And I like all the kooky varieties that are possible. For example: I made a pineapple blueberry one last weekend. What about y’all, do you love mojitos? (Jokes, that’s obvie RHETORICAL)

I WANT ALL OF THEM. In Miami, we went to a restaurant where they blended into a puree – rather than muddled – the basil and various accoutremonts. It was quite tasty, and much nicer than sucking a garden up your straw.

and you’re killing me. seriously: i’m working on a post right now about making a non-alcoholic cocktail because i realize it’s not really okay to drink gin all day. damn shame, too. (and i don’t discriminate either, bring on the rum).
