Play ball!

Around these parts I’ve never been quiet about my devotion to baseball and more specifically to the Atlanta Braves. And today is Opening Day! I’m headed to Citi Field to see my beloved Braves play the Mets. I couldn’t be more excited. Everything is possible at the beginning of baseball season. The failings and follies of last year are forgotten and everyone gets a clean slate and thinks “this could be our year.” There’s something so pure about that yearly renewed optimism. And in addition to marking baseball’s return to my life, Opening Day also unofficially means warm weather and summer (a.k.a. my favorite time of year) aren’t far behind. Yahoo, hot dogs and beers all around!
