Treat Yo’ Self

Sometimes (okay if you’re me, most times) it’s important to treat yo’ self . You don’t need a reason. And if you do, it’s Tuesday! There’s a fantastic reason. I ordered a cute dress that makes me really crave spring (because this would look real good with wedges).
And I picked up some overpriced Kiehl’s products (cleanser + shampoo). Oh, overpriced bath products, you just GET ME. Okay, your turn! How will you be extra nice to yourself today?
p.s. The Oscars were sort of awful. The most exciting thing that happened was that my hatred for Lady Face Billy Crystal was solidified. And no need to do any wrap-ups of fashion because I loved Michelle Williams so much it’s like no one else was there. (I also adored Kirsten Wiig. But she can do no wrong in my eyes. I’d probably forgive her for voting republican or listening to Creed.)
p.p.s. My good pal, fellow southerner, party co-hostess and Alt roomieNatalie won the Oscar pool. Hooray Natalie. We are all in awe of your smarts.
p.p.p.s. This still makes me laugh quite a bit.

I used to love a nice facial, but my skin’s been schizo lately and I don’t want people making it worse if they don’t know what they’re doing. So, lately, I’ve been ordering mountains of clothes whenever I can get a free shipping code, trying them all on in my privacy of my home and keeping like 10% of them tops.

I honestly didn’t even watch the Oscars, but from my understanding, I really didn’t miss much.
And the dress — I love it! I ordered two things from Dorothy Perkins last week and was so excited about them, but I’m not wild about either of the dresses on. I guess I have to find something new to treat myself to.

@melissa – that’s one of my favorite pastimes. I call it a harvest. Also, take a nap. You deserve it.
@Brandi – you are the winner for NOT watching them. Also I was curious about the Dorothy Perkins fit – how did you find it? And lastly, if you need treat yo’ self ideas I am always here to help. It’s one of my specialities.

Lady Face Billy Crystal gives me laughter tears. You’re a genius.
That dress is the cutest! All I wanna do is shop online for bright colors and cardigans. That might need to happen today.

cute dress! i did a little shopping this weekend too, which was long overdue. my husband actually bought me a marc by marc jacobs dress (what?! a designer dress?!) and i had to get some accessories to go with it.

You inspired me- I just ordered new danskos. The other ones are hurting my feet, they are 3 years old. Needless to say, I don’t splurge much, but love to when it’s time.

I usually turn to beauty products and accessories when I feel like giving myself a little pick-me-up and recently discovered the wonders of BirchBox. Since you love Kiehl’s products, you’ll probably enjoy this. Fair warning though, it’s dangerous and addictive.

1. that dress is perfection.
2. i, too, can get down on some overpriced bath products. i blame the packaging. i adore kiehl’s products. i also like this particular $22 jar of hand soap – not kiehl’s – and i am almost embarrassed if people know how much i pay for it. i mean honestly. hand soap. but the smell! THE SMELL.
3. are you sure we don’t have the same DNA?
