More than meets the eye(liner)

File this under things I want: sexy, throw-back, ultra thick black eyeliner à la Adele. And while we’re at it I’ll take her messy hot “I probably just got laid” hair and that amazing voice as well. Whatever, she’s just awesome and I kind of want to marry her.
Do y’all ever rock the cat eyes? I do a modified version for the every day but I think I need to attempt the real deal. Here’s a tutorial from the hairpin and one from cupcakes and cashmere. Maybe I’ll bust it out for my date this Friday. What do you think?

Obvious. Get thee to Duane Reade and pick up
L’oreal lineur intense with felt tip in carbon black. The only liner that keeps a cat eye point sharp all day. Practice 3 times. You’ll be happy. Trust a sister.

girl, i rock the cat every day. have been for years. women come up to me in cosmetics places and ask what i use. umm…maybelline! drug store liquid eyeliner, toots. works like a dream. big tip: you MUST get one with a felt tip. the brushes are too hard to control.

I’m laughing at the timing of this post. I seriously gauged myself in my eye today with the mascara wand. I can’t imagine what kind of damage I could do with a felt tip. Oh dear lord.

Duh, obviously do it. Have you ever rocked fake eyelashes? They are life-changing and give the cat eyes that extra ta-dow. Highly recommend.

Adele is my girl crush. I love her. Evn my 19 month old daughter loves her. Rolling in the Deep is our jam around here.
And yes, I’ve been wanting to do the full cat eye look but every time I attempt it it goes terribly wrong.

She’s fantastic. I have a crush on her too, especially with that voice (why can’t I sing like that?). I hope you did bust out this look last night — you definitely can rock it.
