Home is Where the Art is

Some might say I’m obsessed with my hometown. And that’s not true. Okay I’m lying, it totally is. I love my southern roots. Why this here blog is named after the masterpiece Ray Charles wrote about my home state of Georgia. And I’ve been known to purchase a few Atlanta/Georgia themed items in my day. And I’m always on the look out for new additions. My pal Kelly knows that, so she sent me this, which I promptly ordered. I mean come on, I am not an idiot. But this new addition and my obsession in general has me wondering, have I overdone the whole hometown pride thing? What do y’all think? How much Atlanta/Georgia art is too much?
1. Greetings from Atlanta poster 2. a vintage coca-cola crate 3. Atlanta pillow from Cat Studio 4. Atlanta: Peach poster from Anderson design
1. Georgia state print from One Canoe Two 2. An old Georgia state map 3. Another vintage map 4. City Love Atlanta Heart
P.S. Speaking of Atlanta (and in case you were wondering) the whole “hey everybody, meet my new man” thing went really well. We had a great time and everybody loved him (they would have to be fools not too). It really could not have gone better. He’s a gem and I’m a lucky gal.

Go ahead and show your pride anyway you like! Even some of us Northerners can’t get enough of that Southern charm and hospitality! Glad your trip was a success!

Never too much home-state pride! Coincidentally, I just posted about a state-necklace I received for a birthday gift. You might want to add Georgia jewelry to your list

I agree, never enough! I have that One Canoe Two print and it’s pretty great. You definitely need it.

Here’s a thought: If you move back down here you can soak up all the ATL/GA-ness your little heart desires.
