Stay Dry

Alright, my friends. I have no idea what to expect from hurricane Irene this weekend. I’m packing up and heading to my man’s place in Brooklyn to weather this storm. We’re just trying to gather all of the necessary supplies before this bitch arrives; water, batteries, snacks and wine. Lots of wine. I happen to live one block from the water so I’m hoping my apartment doesn’t flood (I am terrified something will happen to my couch). But, as much as I love all of my stuff, it’s exactly that: just stuff. Lovely yes, but completely replaceable. I hope everyone stays safe this weekend. And maybe the whole thing will turn out to be a big false alarm. That’d be nice.

    Oh no. Be safe. Glad it bypassed Tampa, but sad for all my Northeastern friends. Many times we plan for the worst and have a better outcome.

    I love being home bound due to weather, but hurricanes are scary. Thank goodness for wine!
