Take A Dip

The very genius David Puddy once said “hey, how come people don’t have dip for dinner? Why is it only a snack, why can’t it be a meal, you know? I don’t understand stuff like that.” And I couldn’t have said it better myself. Dip is amazing and perfect in every way. And there are so many possibilities. I’d jump on the dip for dinner band wagon the first chance I got, Dip for dinner! Come on, everybody join in! Dip for dinner! Dip for dinner!
artichoke olive crostini from smitten kitchen
caramelized onion dip from 101 cookbooks
heavenly hummus from kiss my spatula
simple mint pea dip from my new roots
tzatziki sauce from beantown baker
a more natural chile con queso from homesick texan

Dips can definitely be dinner, especially in my book, particularly if there’s one involving avocado. I can never get enough avocado it seems. There’s one restaurant here in San Diego I think you’d love — they make the greatest dips (though they call them spreads).
