Friday Tids and Bits

My darlings, I feel like spring is finally around the corner. I had a tough winter. But things are good and I am happy. Life isn’t perfect (it never is, right?) and maybe it’s not playing out how I hoped it would. But I finally feel like somehow, someway, everything is going to be alright.
p.s. Is this iPhone app real?! If so why don’t I have it?! What a genius thing (could have saved me from some awkward situations in my younger/more drunken days) . Isn’t technology amazing? The future is here, people. {found here via here}
p.p.s. And with that I’ll wish you a happy Friday. This is my first weekend home in awhile. I’m kind of excited about it. I have a packed social calendar and that’s always festive. What will y’all be getting into? Whatever it is, I hope it’s tons of fun.
p.p.p.s. The new Paul Simon album kicks some serious ass. Not that this is at all surprising since Paul Simon is amazing and perfect. NPR is streaming the entire album. You’re welcome.

If that iphone app isn’t real, it should be. I think it would save people a whole lot of embarrassment.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, my dear! Enjoy every moment of it!

Yay to Paul Simon! I LOVE the new album. He’s playing at the Beacon in early May, and I was hoping to take the train down to NYC to see him, but I think it’s already sold out (??). Have a good weekend!

Paul Simon! Nice! The first CD I ever owned was a Paul Simon compilation. (Not to be confused with the first album I ever owned, which was “Thriller” or the first cassette tape I ever owned, which I think was Weird Al Yankovic’s “Even Worse”.) I still listen to the Paul Simon all the time. I will certainly check out the NPR stream. Thanks for the lead!
As for that app – fug it. What fun would life be without its little embarrassments brought on by a dearth of overweaning self-control? Seriously. Sometimes we say what we say when we’re drunk because we got drunk just to say it. You know what I mean? (Unfortunately my superego is so strong that people often can’t even tell that I’m drunk at all – that’s a problem.)

Way to go, Champ. I know someone who is coming out of this winter on top, in a serious/glamorous way.
