A Little Bit of Genius

Posted on | March 9, 2011 | 18 Comments

I am still over the moon obsessed with Mumford & Sons, they are my soundtrack as of late. (And I am still thinking I’d like to marry the lead singer, Marcus. Even if he is only 24). What about y’all? Are you fans? And more importantly, what are your  thoughts on a Marcus/Amy pairing?

I am LOVING Mumford & Sons. What’s even better is that my husband loves them too! That can be a rare thing that we both love a band–especially when it’s a bit folky because my man is a punk rock kinda guy. Hooray for Mumford & Sons. And I’m totally behind you if you go for Marcus, go for it. :)

Amy! OMG. Seriously, nothing makes me more randy than listening to some Mumford & Sons. If I get pregnant any time soon I’m blaming them.

Also, a cool experience: when we came down from Everest Base Camp we partied in Lukla (still in the mountains) before heading back to Kathmandu. There was a random Irish Pub (bizarre, I know) and they plugged in our iPod and we drank Guinness and listened to M&F all night. It was beyond magical.

If I loved Mumford & Sons any more, I might end up with a tattoo proclaiming my ardent love for them. I think they would be the most incredible band to hang out with in a pub somewhere. I wonder if we could make that happen (I’m a big believer in making dreams come true).

They were the soundtrack for my morning commute today. You and Marcus should totally get together!

That’s a little bit of a problem for me since I’ve already laid claim to him. And I’m 23 :-)

    I wholeheartedly support this union.

Also, I spent a recent Sunday morning listening to Mumford and Sons in my sunny kitchen making pancakes. It was such a nice way to spend time.

As soon as I saw a close up of him I knew that he was totes your super-best-number-one-love-match. If both Marge and I knew it?! Come on. It’s destiny.

I’ve been listening to Sigh No More just about nonstop for about a month now. Reminds me of jamming with a bluegrass band back in Boulder, which I did fairly regularly. (We called ourselves The Electric Moonlight for reasons I won’t go into now.)

So yeah, anyway, I like Mumford & Sons.

But they do nothing for my libido.

Seriously. If Tori agrees then it must happen. I have made my opinions known. Marcus and Amy forever!

And by the way, can I just say how much I love the name Marcus. Especially when it’s slapped on a dream boat with the voice of an angel. Send him a nudie photo ASAP.
