A Place to Sit and Work…

My apartment is slowly coming together, but still have plenty to do. High on the top of this list is: I have to figure out some sort of desk/work space solution. I have a laptop so I don’t need a huge surface, but I would like a hidden-ish place to put my printer/scanner and some extra storage for the ten million arts and crafts supplies I insist on crating around and holding on to. I got a tad bit spoiled living in my old upper west side place because I had my very own room that served as an office/craftroom/amy’s girly space. So I’m poking around seeing what’s out there in terms of desks I can afford but will also do what I need them to do. Some options…
1. My dream solution that I’d have to sell a kidney to get. Linear Steel Base Office Armoire from Room & Board
2. More affordable but less storage. Not totally my style. Flat-Bar Storage Desk + Flat-Bar Printer Caddy from West Elm
3. Love love love a pop of red and the file cabinet provides some storage. Although I am not sure where the printer would go. CB2 go-cart red desk and TPS white file cabinet
4. Some cheap-y-ish options from Ikea which perhaps I could dress up with an Ikeahack of some sort. Liatorp and Jonas.
5. A vintage desk would be kind of the most amazing thing ever from Two Jakes.

I’m a fan of the CB2 file cabinet since I just bought one. Can’t wait to see what you pick!

There’s something I’m loving about the spare simplicity of that CB2 (OK, maybe I’m biased b/c I love CB2 stuff anyway). Such an exciting phase – likewise can’t wait to see your picks!
