Dreaming of a Home

I put in an application for an apartment in the West Village. It was more than I wanted to spend but it is big (by NYC standards) and in a great location. It’s looking pretty good, but not a sure bet yet. I won’t fully celebrate until I get the keys. But boy am I ready to have a home again. It’s been a long few months of staying at mom’s, traveling, staying at Lesley’s and subletting. And I’d love to just get into a space of my own so I can be around my things and start turning my new place into my new home. And even though I haven’t officially gotten an apartment yet, that hasn’t stopped me from online stalking new couches, paint color options and possible bedding. After all, It is one of my favorite past times. I won’t share all of my current searches with you right now but I do want to show you the two couches I am seriously coveting. Seriously. Coveting.

Both are lovely, esp. that first one! I’ve been nomadic without my own place for a while too, I know that unsettled feeling – good luck with the new apt! (It’s always so beastly competitive in NYC’s apt world!)

Great looking sofas! Both of them, but I like the color of the yellow one.
