Best. Present. Ever.

My dear Anthony surprised me with one heck of a Christmas present this year. On Christmas morn I tore open a huge box and inside was a Kitchenaid mixer of my very own! To be fair my pal Tori suggested it to him via a secret Facebook message I knew nothing about. I will give him credit where credit is due though, he did select the perfect color for me; Martha Stewart blue. It’s amazing and I feel like my life is more complete now. I decided to break it in on New Years Eve. Since we were staying in I thought we deserved a special treat; perhaps a from scratch chocolate cake with delectable chocolate and cinnamon frosting. It was a tasty smash hit! And very easy to make with the help of my new kitchen sidekick. I predict a 2010 filled with home baked delectable delicacies.

I don’t know what I would do without my KitchenAid. And frankly, I don’t even want to think what my life was like before it (how did I ever survive making those giant batches of cookies?). Congrats on the fantastic present, in a super fantastic color! (I love that Martha Stewart blue.) Happy baking!

I’m totally lusting after one in the perfect lemon yellow. Enjoy your new mixer! I have a stand mixer, but really, it can’t compare to a KitchenAid.

Oh. My. Gosh.
That is the most beautiful mixer I’ve ever seen!
Mine is a hand-me-down, midnight blue {from my gma}, which I do love, but…care to trade?
