Inspiration Folder: Where the Wild Things Are

Have you seen it yet? I saw it last weekend but it has totally stayed with me. I thought it was stunning, simply stunning. The imagery and composition, the design, the casting (amazing!), the music (loving the soundtrack right now), the visual effects, the performances and even the font choice. I thought it was so, so beautiful and ate up every single detail.

We thought it was such a lovely movie. I took a group of 6 girls for my daughters birthday. We were all weepy. Thanks for the musical treat! Have a good day.

p.s. didn’t you want to take tony soprano (carol) home with you? loved his sweet, vulnerable, tough guy performance. reminded me how much i miss the sopranos!

Spike Jonze is a brilliant filmmaker. From Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, and now Where the Wild Things Are he’s definitely proven that he is best feature film director out there right now. He works in his own genre and that is incredibly difficult to do.
