A Special Present for the Bride

Besides getting my pal something off of her wedding registry, I also wanted to put together something a little more personal and a little more special for her wedding. When I saw this amazing gift, I knew I wanted to do something similar with the wedding day tradition of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. It’s so timeless and charming and there are so many different ways to interpret it. I didn’t stress about trying to come up with stuff she would wear on her wedding day, I just wanted to find fun, pretty things my friend would love. So here’s what I did:

Something old – lovely vintage milk glass dish, perfect for keeping jewelry in atop your dresser.

Something newthese pretty earrings that had a bridal feel, but were also just good everyday options.

Something borrowed -This is a toughie! I told Ant I wanted to do something with old photos and mementos and he said “oh, like borrowed from the past?” Perfect, Anthony! So I made a little scrapbook with some favorite pics and other fun tidbits from yesteryear.

Something blue – What else? One of my fall favorites, a super-soft pashmina in a gorgeous blue.

All wrapped up in a precious little box that I covered with craft paper and then rubber stamped.
