Pickles: Part Duex

Okay, remember this book and these pickles I made using a recipe from said book? Well, let’s just say the finished pickles were not my favorite. They were waaaaay over-flavored. Like a pickley punch to your facehole. Now, I’m not blaming the book, it’s highly possible I screwed up the recipe. But, I am determined to make a successful batch of homemade pickles. So on Sunday I tried a different recipe via our friend Ms. Martha. I’m hoping for better results and will keep you posted. Until then, think positive pickle thoughts for me.

we’ve got cucumbers galore in the garden, I’ve got to get pickling! I got a recipe from my father in law, but I’d like to do more than one kind so I can’t wait to see how these turn out.

Yum, I love pickles! Never tried making them myself, but I feel inspired to after seeing your pics above. Let us know how they turn out.
