April Showers bring May…

Posted on | May 5, 2009 | 9 Comments

I did my first round of gardening in the back patio this weekend! My gardening Sensei Robert (who is an upper west sider I found via CL) came with some plants and we went to town. It was raining so it was pretty muddy, but also quite enjoyable I must say. I can’t wait to see all these beauties grow. So yeah, I guess I’m officially a gardener now, expect updates soon.

yay–looks great! yesterday i planted little basil plants–it felt so good to get my hands in the dirt! this morning, i replanted them…”something” (neighbor’s rambunctious dog) knocked my little planter right over. but i didn’t mind too much, i got to play in the dirt again!

I’m new at gerdening, too – but I think i’m hooked for good. I had to thin my carrots the other day and it nearly broke my heart. Clearly the sign of a beginner!
