Inspiration Folder: Big Fish

Posted on | March 18, 2009 | 4 Comments

In a splendid turn of events, I caught the last hour or so of Big Fish this weekend. I love, love, love that movie. If I made movies, I’d want to make a movie like that. It’s bursting with whimsy and charm, and is just beautiful. It is Tim Burton at his best in my opinion. The story is so sweet and genuine, and the ending always gets me all choked up. But then again I get choked up during American Idol (don’t judge me). I find the art direction of the film stunning and incredibly inspiring. And, let’s be honest, Ewan McGregor and Billy Crudup are dream boats. So that doesn’t hurt either.
